A language translation service provider, Ad Astra is an architect of connection and communication. However, they felt their old website did not accurately reflect the way they build bridges between people and culture. As Creative Director, I worked with a designer to create the below concepts that are now implemented on the client's current live website.

Before starting on initial concepts, we researched the existing Ad Astra brand and website and some competitors. The existing website was constrained by boxes, borders, and content blocks -- not all representative of their mission to break down barriers. Their current brand red was also dull and lifeless. The client gravitated towards dynamic elements and large, impactful imagery. Our three initial concepts breathed a lot of life into the designs by maximizing vibrant reds, yellows, and pinks and use of a soft, moving gradient. We also included star designs and orbits as UX elements, a subtle nod to their company name which translates to "to the stars" in Latin.
The below image shows some of the process of going through multiple design revisions with the client.
The client ultimately decided to go with a minimalist background while keeping the original red-yellow gradients and orbital patterns.
